New safety award for JHSCs

The Aecon Group is sponsoring a new award for health and safety in Ontario construction. The John M. Beck Award - named for Aecon’s Chairman and CEO - goes to an on-site joint health and safety committee in Ontario construction. The annual award recognizes a committee’s extraordinary leadership, initiative, creativity, and innovation in developing policy, procedure, tools, or communications for protecting people’s health and safety on a construction site. Aecon will present the award at CSAO’s Annual General Meeting in May 2003. You can download a nomination form outlining the award criteria from www.csao.org
