IHSA field consultants work with construction employers, labour unions, trade assocations and buyers of construction to improve health and safety in the industry. Services include: safety training assistance with company health and safety programs pinpointing the health and safety needs of firms or sectors and developing solutions site surveys safety audits working with unions locals, union training centres, and apprenticeship programs health and safety problem solving support for Safety Groups advising joint health and safety committees at site, company, or trade association level liaising between clients and other prevention partners such as the Ministry of Labour and the WSIB In addition to working with priority firms (those with two or more lost-time injuries), IHSA provides ongoing consulting services to maintain or improve the safety performance of firms with good records. The field consultants can assist you with all your health and safety needs. Consultants are assigned according to Ontario county, city, town or postal code.
